ARIN BROWN, SEACHANGE CTO, NOMINATED FOR ORBIE® AWARDS
Each year the Twin Cities CIO ORBIE Awards highlight “the leadership stories of local CIOs and how they are shaping their industries through technology and strategy.” And this year, our Chief Technology Officer Arin Brown has been nominated for the recognition.
While many tasks keep Arin busy, over the past few years he has focused a great deal on helping clients with their digital transformations. Arin’s team has partnered with clients to drive better customer engagement and deep brand connections through interactive tools such as games, flip books, digital contact cards, and easy online ordering using a responsive user interface. Of course, these fun, attention-getting approaches to marketing aren’t just about drawing customers and prospects in. They also provide key data on trends, response rates, and customer feedback, which Arin and his team convey via easy-to-understand reporting on analytics dashboards.
Arin is our CTO but with his strong focus on digital marketing, he’s also known by employees and clients alike as our Chief Innovation Officer (CIO), which is all part of SeaChange’s overall approach to delivering transformative ideas and tools for clients. Other priorities for Arin include creating robust APIs and electronic data exchange options and establishing and adhering to strong information security practices. Arin notes, “The evolving digital landscape is full of opportunity and exciting new approaches, but it’s also littered with risk and professional ‘bad actors’ that require us to be vigilant in protecting our data and our clients’ data at every turn.”
Arin is an inspirational leader, always putting others first. And for as brilliant as he is, he’s quick to give credit to others and steers clear of the limelight. Whether it’s tearing up when talking about our culture or doing cartwheels down the hallway to celebrate a win, it’s easy to see he cares truly and deeply about others.
For all these reasons and more, we’re thrilled to have Arin leading our technology efforts – and partnering on exciting cross-functional initiatives.
