Each year, the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) honors women business owners or partners who are “shaking up the status quo, contributing to our economy and supporting other women-owned businesses.”  We can’t think of a better way to describe our president and CEO, Wendi Breuer, and we’re thrilled to announce she has been chosen to receive the group’s most prominent award.

The Woman Business Owner of the Year award recognizes the “innovation and perseverance of a woman business owner who has experienced noticeable success operating a business that has grown exponentially over the past year.” As we celebrate our fifth anniversary, that growth is clear. SeaChange has reached $21 million in sales – 75% growth in just five years – and grown to 100 employees.

While the award recognizes a single person, Wendi is quick to note that it’s a reflection of the culture and collaboration that can be seen throughout SeaChange. “As we celebrate our fifth anniversary this year, I’m constantly awed by the transformation and growth we’ve created. And that couldn’t have happened without our strong core values and culture based on respect for each others’ perspectives and contributions.”
